Due to the diversity of the weather in the mountains and plateau and to ensure your comfort, we have included a list of items which we recommend that you bring with you. - Waterproofs - trousers and jacket (lightweight) - Walking shoes/boots - strong, comfortable and ankle supporting - Walking poles - Water bottle - at least 1.5 litres - Flask for tea and coffee - A fleece or jumper - it can get chilly in the evenings - A hat, sun block, insect repellent and bite cream - A day pack max 25 litres. You will be required to carry your own lunch and water. Water in the village is excellent to drink so just fill up from the tap or fill up your flask with tea or coffee. - Shorts, t shirts light wear - Long trousers (lightweight) - Walking socks - Whistle (Standard referees type for use in the event that you become lost) *Washing and ironing facilities are available Bookings are accepted on the understanding that you are physically fit to take part in the walks. Walking should be enjoyed by everyone who takes part. For this reason the walks can be completed in a reasonable time in a relaxed manner. If you are reasonably fit then the walks will be an enjoyable and satisfying achievement. Due to the climate in and around the mountains the weather can change without notice. This means that walking trips may have to be changed at the last minute. The walks are a mixture of paths leading through forests, winding up mountain sides, walking through gorges, climbing castles, high ridges, level terrain, and steep terrain. If you enjoy walking and exerting yourself now and again then you will be fit enough to enjoy the walks. Please ensure you have your own medical & travel insurance. You can also obtain an E111 form at post offices. This form is not a substitute for your own medical and travel insurance. Health conditions and allergies need to be declared when booking. It is a condition of the booking that you must be insured against medical and personal accident risks. You must ensure that the policy you take out provides a sufficient level of protection and covers you for the activity you will be involved in. Payment and Deposits.Deposits.When making a reservation you will be required to give a 25% deposit which will be paid by either Bank Transfer or PayPal (an Ebay owned credit/debit card internet secure payment system). Payment.The remaining balance must be paid by either bank transfer or PayPal 7 days prior to your arrival or you can pay in cash on arrival in Euros based on the conversion rate calculated by http://www.xe.com . We are unable to accept credit/debit cards or sterling cheques on arrival (Quillan has around four cashpoint [ATMs] from which you can draw cash).
