Spa TreatmentsThe spa is for the treatment of degenerative (Spinal arthrosis with or without radicular pain, coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis, periarthritis, tendonitis, tenosynovitis, cellulomyalgia and sciatic), inflammatory (rheumatoid, polyarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis) and metabolic (gout and chondrocalcinosis) rheumatism and also for the after effects of osteoarticular injuries (painful after effects, stiffness, post fracture oedemas, painful after effects of dislocations and sprains, algodystrophic syndrome and shoulder-hand syndrome) for which it is an approved by the French health service. The approved treatments are.: Bath: immersion of the body in an individual bath filled with thermal water at 35-37°C. Aerobath: Bath with added gas giving a calming effect and muscular relaxation. Shower: Shower of multiple fine jets applied to the whole body. Jet Shower: Jet of stimulating thermal water applied by a hydrotherapist using a hose with the pressure varying depending on the required effect. Mud Therapy: Local application on one or more parts of the body of mud made from clay and thermal water. Steam Therapy: Local application (hands and feet) of thermal steam. Underwater Massage: Practisede under a show of thermal water by a masseur-physiotherapist. This combats sprains and amyotrophy and improves mobility and creates muscular and psychological relaxation. The Spa is available between May and September. The treatment is carried out in the morning and takes 21 days of which 18 are treatment days. Before and during the treatment you will be under the close supervision of the spa's doctor. It is of course impossible to give a costing for the above until you have seen the spa's doctor. However based on a half board basis (bed, breakfast and evening meal) it can be between 1,383 and 2,739 Euros maximum excluding airfares and car hire. We are very happy to collect you from the airport and transfer you to and from the spa on a daily basis for an additional 300 Euros.
